The hardware that we sell functions as add-on devices that connect to your car. If you install third-party software on them, such as OpenPilot, it will provide neural network-based low level autonomy for your vehicle.

While the device is engaged, it is crucial to monitor the road and be prepared to react appropriately when required.

The software utilizes artificial neural networks to keep your car within its lane and maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. This makes it ideal for highway driving, where you primarily need to monitor the road for safety.

However, it will not stop at red lights or yield to pedestrians. While it can be used on local roads and in cities, we do not recommend it for such conditions. The best use case for this software is highway driving.

The device will not function if the driver is not watching the road, as it includes a driver monitoring feature that detects when the driver is not focused on the road.

Springer A1 is interchangable with Comma C3X, its harnesses and other hardware from Comma.
